Seven Hours After Violet, the alternative metal project led by System of a Down’s Shavo Odadjian, has released a music video for their new single “Cry.” The track comes from the band’s self-titled debut album, now available via Sumerian Records and 1336 Records. “Cry” explores themes of anguish and longing, with intense lyrics reflecting the emotional distance between two souls. The song showcases the band’s powerful range, both musically and thematically.

The group explains:

“‘Cry’ captures the agony of trying to hold on to something that’s already broken, that inevitable downfall when love turns into torment. It’s about being locked in a space of emotional suffocation, where every attempt to hold on only pulls you further into the abyss. This is the pain we wanted to channel — a song for anyone who’s ever felt like they’re drowning in their own emotions.”
