Old Man Gloom posted a teaser for a new video about 10 days ago, but now the entire seven minute video (for a three minute song, as Metal Sucks as pointed out) has made it’s a debut, and it’s everything you’d expect from a band who sent a fake album to the press for review purposes.
“The Lash” was the first single from their latest album The Ape of God, which came out in November of last year. The release was actually a double-album, and a follow-up to 2010s No.
For this video, Old Man Gloom called upon director Andrew Cox, who did the Helms Alee’s “8/16” (the one parodying classic music videos) and Torche’s “UFO.” Be sure to catch the band on tour, as they’ll be doing a short run of shows on the West Coast in the coming days.
