Thanks to the money they raised via Kickstarter, Helms Alee and director Andrew Cox were able to create a pretty memorable video for the song “8/16.” Actually, the point of the video is that hopefully you’ll remember some of the old music videos they’re spoofing. In a nutshell, Helms Alee recreate scenes from your favorite video of the 80’s/90’s, including ones from Metallica, N.W.A., Guns N’ Roses, Alice In Chains, and many others. The band even reanimated themselves to resemble Beavis and Butt-head throughout the clip.
So go ahead and watch the video above, and see if you can guess which music videos they’ve recreated for yourself. Our personal favorite is their recreations of Ozzy Osbourne and Lita Ford’s “Close My Eyes Forever.”
