This week Australian extreme prog metallers Ne Obliviscaris started a crowdfunding campaign to raise A$40,000 (US $37,936) so that they could go on a world tour, reports Metal Underground. As another example of crowdfunding gone horribly right (ex. Devin Townsend’s Casualties of Cool 564% of initial goal), they have reached their goal plus $2,146 in just 38 hours! Pledging to use all the excess pledges to add more dates to the now upcoming world tour, there is no reason to not continue pledging since your city just might be the one they add. With cool rewards ranging from exclusive merch to a chance to have members of the band on your band’s next album, or even guest list to their shows for LIFE! With the success of the campaign, you can look forward to seeing Ne Obliviscarus touring the world in the near future, as well as releasing a new album towards the end of this year.
