Mr. Bungle’s first set of shows in twenty years kicked off on Wednesday (5th) and last night at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. The group have a unique set of openers for each night as the first night included Ho99o9 and Hirax and night two featured Cattle Decapitation and Neil Hamburger. Their reunion shows include original members Trevor Dunn, Mike Patton, and Trey Spruance and joined by Scott Ian (Anthrax) and Dave Lombardo (Dead Cross, ex-Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies). The set included several songs from their 1986 demo The Raging Wrath of the Easter Bunny, as well as a number of cover tracks and two new songs. Additionally, the band designed different posters for all seven shows, which they’ve incorporated elements of flyers from back in the 80s.
Actor Danny DeVito attended one of the LA shows, which Lombardo expressed his excitement via Instagram:
“It was so great to see Danny Devito last night. One of nicest guys I’ve ever met. Watching him give our vocalist Mike Patton acting tips was a treat all on its own. A true artist with an appreciation for many styles of music.”

It was the first @MrBungle show in almost twenty years and they only played songs from their 1986 demo, unreleased songs from their demo days, and covers and they still set the bar for “best show of 2020” really high super early into the year. pic.twitter.com/lkulMhMoxQ
