On Friday, 9th, Motörhead fans gathered in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England, for the Lemmy Forever ceremony, honoring the late legend, Lemmy Kilmister. Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell was on hand to place Lemmy’s ashes into a new statue created by local sculptor Andy Edwards. The monument captures Lemmy in his 1981 live glory, commemorating the year Motörhead headlined the Heavy Metal Holocaust nearby at Port Vale Stadium.

In further celebration of Motörhead’s legacy, the band has announced The Manticore Tapes, a previously unreleased collection of recordings from 1976, marking the first studio session of the iconic “Three Amigos” lineup: Lemmy, Fast Eddie Clarke, and Phil ‘Philthy Animal’ Taylor. Thought to be lost, the tapes were recorded at ELP’s Manticore Studio in Fulham and have been restored by longtime producer Cameron Webb and mastered by Andrew Alekel. Set for release on June 27.
