Only a few weeks away until the Japanese instrumental rockers Mono release their ninth album, Requiem For Hell on October 14, 2016 via Temporary Residence (North America), Pelagic Records (UK & Europe) and Magniph/Hostess (Japan & Asia). This morning Mono unveiled the official music video for the title song, “Requiem For Hell” and these instrumentals thus far seem chaotic and extreme. Mono is known for leaving a poetic resonance to their music whether in their experimental soundscapes or rock instrumentals as this song is most likely their heaviest piece yet. The video itself has a dreamlike mystical and hell world where the black and white imagery would make one feel they are watching a silent horror film. When watching carefully, you will see a significant storyline involving a man running through a forest frantically looking for a woman who is presumed dead as he encounters a mysterious to possibly devilishly-magical man in a hooded robe. Requiem For Hell will consist of five tracks and it is currently available for preorder here.
