Ever wonder what it would sound like if Hatebreed/Kingdom of Sorrow frontman Jamey Jasta got together with Black Label Society axeman Zakk Wylde? Jasta must have, as Wylde is one of the guest stars on the frontman’s first solo album for the song “The Fearless Must Endure.” On first listen, it sounds like a cross between Slipknot and a newer Ozzy song. Jasta’s singing a lot more than he usually does, and the sheer commercial-ness of it will probably alienate some hardcore Hatebreed fans. However, Wylde’s inclusion on the track and the melodic aspect of the song will probably bring a lot of new fans to the table. And metal fans need not dismiss the album before hearing the rest of it. Members of Lamb of God, All That Remains and As I Lay Dying will also be on the album. Jasta comes out on July 26th on eOne.
