French experimental metal act Igorrr have dropped a video for the new single, “Blastbeat Falafel,” featuring Trey Spruance (Mr. Bungle) and Timba Harris (Estradasphere, Secret Chiefs 3). The track is taken from their upcoming fifth album Amen, scheduled to arrive on September 19 via Metal Blade Records.
Igorrr leader, French multi-instrumentalist and producer Gautier Serre comments:
“The track is an unnatural and unorthodox connection between metal and traditional oriental music. A metalhead who truly loves oriental music tried to fit in with the codes of oriental music but didn’t succeed. He tried too hard, lost his identity, and ended up in a psychiatric hospital.”
