This has been a good year for Halestorm, whose most recent album Into the Wild Life debuted at #4 back in April. Their song “Amen” hit #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Song charts, and vocalist Lzzy Hale has kept in the spotlight from singing “Hunger Strike” with Corey Taylor from Slipknot to appearing on stage as a “Sister Of Sin” at a Ghost show.

Now today Halestorm has released a new music video for “I Am The Fire,” the third music from Into the Wild Life (you can watch “Amen” here). In an interview with TeamRock Guitarist Joe Hottinger explained the meaning behind the song:

“I think the lyric that sums up the whole song best is, ‘I am the one that I’ve been waiting for.’ It’s the idea that nobody is holding you back except yourself. So be the fire. If you listen to the song closely, there’s no doubled vocals or harmonies or anything like that. It’s all Lzzy on her own, owning it. I am the fire. There is nobody else. That’s the message of this song.”

Halestorm are currently doing a Canadian tour this month, then they’ll be touring Japan and Australia in December.
