gojira2016Since the announcement of Gojira’s new upcoming album Magma, we’ve been giving you every morsel of information that’s been doled out so far. A few days ago, we got to hear the first single from the record “Stranded” and it was everything we could hope for. But now, we get to hear another song, via a music video for the track “Silvera.”

“Silvera” was the first song composed by the French quartet for the album and was the working title for it. It has a great vibe that portrays some of the direction the band hinted previously when discussing about Magma’s songwriting, particularly on the length of the song. Frontman Joe Duplantier had explained the change on length: “We want a short album,” he said. “Something less epic than what we usually do. People’s attentions are shorter now. So a lot of the songs are four minutes.”

Pseudo-writer with little to no expectations of ever winning a Pulitzer but totally down to write about your unknown band if it's good to my ears. I enjoy long walks on the beach, deep conversation, holding hands and attending Satanic music shows every now and then.
