The members of Faith No More seem to be having a productive quarantine so far.

On Sunday (17), keyboardist Roddy Bottum announced a new project with his boyfriend Joey Holman. Called Man On Man, Bottum describes the project on the duo’s newly-created Instagram page as “gay lovers making gay music.” Their first single, “Daddy,” is set for release next week.

Said Bottum in a tweet Sunday:

“We’ve talked about projects in quarantine, y’all n me. I’m happy to announce that me and Joey’s record is finished and we’ll release our first single, Daddy, next week. We’re calling it MAN ON MAN. Love yous.”

The duo has been teasing some sort of musical project for the past couple of months. The first tweet came in March when Bottum revealed that they had finished writing their second song together, then continued to hint at more writing and recording throughout April.

Elsewhere in Faith No More land, frontman Mike Patton joined Stormtroopers of Death’s (S.O.D.) Scott Ian, Charlie Benante and Dan Lilker for the latest in a series of shelter-in-place versions of their songs. The group played “Speak Spanish or Die,” a reworked version of “Speak English or Die” that Mr. Bungle (featuring Patton and Ian) played during their recent reunion. Video of the song, which features Patton singing at home with a black bandana over his face while the rest of S.O.D. shreds from their individual homes, can be seen below:

Faith No More released their latest album, Sol Invictus, in 2015. The band was slated to play two massive stadium shows with Korn, System of a Down, Helmet and Russian Circles, though those dates had to be rescheduled due to the pandemic. Faith No More so far are still scheduled for a European tour throughout June and July with a US tour following in August and September. The band’s Australia/New Zealand tour was rescheduled for late February/early March of 2021. All dates can be found on the band’s website.
