It appears that last week’s speculation on why Austin Carlile left Of Mice & Men, led to some confusion. Initially attributed to his suffering from Marfan Syndrome, some others assumed it was due to Carlile wanting to promote his religious beliefs in his lyrics. Guitarist Alan Ashby took note of the rumors and responded on his Twitter, informing that no one kicked him out of the group.
Guys. Nobody kicked anybody out. Austin has always used religious influences in his lyrics. Stop making shit up! #AlternativeFacts https://t.co/9QPQipGjd2

Based on recent updates from both Carlile and Ashby, we can only assume there was an unfortunate tension between them. With Carlile free to pursue a solo career or join another band, Of Mice & Men fans might have the best of both worlds, with two bands to look forward to instead of one.
