Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler made his way into bar fight history earlier this week after he was arrested following a disturbance at the Corkscrew Saloon in Death Valley. Butler was charged with misdemeanor assault, public intoxication and vandalism, but it seems like he was only locked up for the night and let go. Yesterday, he took to Twitter with a pair of messages. The first was straightforward, stating “Thx for your messages & support following the unfortunate altercation that occurred.”

Then he posted a shot of himself, presumably at Death Valley, with the caption After that little distraction.” He looks somewhat rested, posing with a bicycle and a creepy looking hooded ghostly figure, and his thumb is taped up, possibly from the incident, in which a window was broken. He hasn’t gone into details as to what happened, so all we have to go on is the police report, but his side may come out eventually.
