As you know by now, Apple made it official and bought Beats Music last week. There are a lot of questions as to how the transition is going to be handled, and who will be doing what. Not helping things at all was a report in USA Today about the purchase. For the most part, the article was pretty negative about the purchase, with the final line “In such a state of uncertainty and worry, and with billions in the bank, it’s pretty normal to get snookered b y someone like Jimmy Iovine.”One of the things asserted in the article was that Trent Reznor, who’s been serving as Beats Chief Creative Officer, had “reportedly left the company.”
While that was unsubstantiated, it didn’t stop a lot of people from talking. Billboard led with the question, and there were many others wondering if the Nine Inch Nails frontman had left the company. However, it noted that several other Beats executives had left the company as well. A spokesperson from Beats and Reznor said the report was inaccurate, and finally, several hours ago, Reznor himself took to Twitter to state that he’d still be remaining at Beats. “Busy touring Europe and trying to get the Internet to work…” one tweet read. He followed that with:
…but YES I am still CCO of Beats Music and looking forward to what lies ahead with Apple.

Well, that answers that. Trent Reznor is still in Nine Inch Nails, still with Beats, and still D.R.E. – oh wait, that’s one of his bosses.
