Never mind! Having just announced their new vocalist Denis Shaforostov and dropping a new song to show him off just earlier this week, Asking Alexandria has already had to cancel their first scheduled performances with their new frontman.
Asking Alexandria were booked to play with the new lineup in the UK at Manchester Academy on May 31st and London Underworld on June 1st, but were not able to secure a visa for Shaforostov in time, who is from the U.S.
“We have spent the last few days doing everything we possibly can to make sure that these shows wouldn’t be cancelled but at the end of the day the US government took far longer than anyone could have predicted giving Denis his visa which has left us no time to finish his visa process to enter the UK,” explains AA guitarist Ben Bruce, “You have no idea how much we were all looking forward to these shows and I promise you we will make it up to you. Myself, James, Cam and Sam will still be flying to the UK and will be at the venues on the day of each show to hang out with you guys.”
The band hasn’t said if this international discrepancy will interfere with the rest of their tour dates for the coming weeks, which include many in Europe. Hopefully Asking Alexandria fans overseas will get to experience the new sound as soon as possible before the band heads back to the states for their stint on the Vans Warped Tour.
