Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne recently told Metal Hammer magazine that there will be a new album, and writing will most likely start in early 2015. This record would follow-up 13, which came out in 2013.

Said Osbourne, on beginning to work on new material:

“It’ll be sooner rather than later. Obviously a lot of it is coming down to Tony’s health, he’s obviously got his cancer treatment, but we’ll get onto it next year. I don’t know if we’ll be writing in England or LA, but I’ll fly to the fucking moon for it if I have to!”

Earlier this year Ozzy said he’d be up for making another album, but the biggest concern is Tony Iommi’s health, which Ozzy brought up in this recent interview, saying, “obviously a lot of it is coming down to Tony’s health, he’s obviously got his cancer treatment.”

Iommi said earlier this year, when wrapping up their tour in support of 13, that he didn’t want to be, “touring to this extent too much longer.” The legendary metal guitarist recorded and toured while traveling to receive treatment for his battle with lymphoma.
