Despite political differences, we can all come together in remembering icons we have lost, including the James Bond star Sean Connery and legendary Jeopardy! Host Alex Trebek. Roughly one week after Connery died at 90, Trebek lost his long battle with stage four pancreatic cancer on Sunday (8th). He was 80-years-old. Trebek has been the host of Jeopardy! since 1984 and had no plans on leaving as his final episode is set to air on Christmas Day. Trebek is survived by his wife, Jean, and his three children. This past July, the late Jeopardy! host published the best-selling book, The Answer Is…: Reflections of My Life, which is available here. Trebek was a fighter and never gave up on hope. Rockers have reacted to this significant loss as Metal Insider remembers a few unforgettable highlights from one of the greatest game shows of all time thanks to Trebek’s remarkable legacy.

One of our favorite moments was back in 2018 when Trebek dressed up as Gene Simmons’ KISS persona, The Demon for a special Halloween episode:

Other highlights include hearing the game show host sing Motley Crue lyrics along with having Slayer as a question:

Seeing a metal artist featured on the show was an exciting honor and nod as there were so many including, Tool, Megadeth, Morbid Angel, Obituary, Lizzy Borden, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Gene Simmons, Rob Zombie, and more.
