U.S tour dates revealed for Ronnie James Dio hologram trek

Posted by on April 9, 2019

Whether you are excited or just curious, seeing a Dio headlining tour in 2019 is surreal. Back in 2017, we saw the debut of  Dio’s hologram and over two years later, one of the most talked about tours is finally happening. The U.S. trek, presented by Eyellusion kicks off on May 31st in Ft. Myers FL and currently runs through June 29th in Las Vegas, NV. While more dates will be added, the tour will feature a lineup of Dio band members of 17 years sharing the stage with the late Ronnie James Dio’s hologram.

The official lineup includes Craig Goldy (guitar), Simon Wright (drums), Scott Warren (keyboards), and newer member Bjorn Englen (bass). While we will see Dio sing, the show will also feature guest vocalists Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens  and Oni Logan (Lynch Mob).

The set will be more of a 90-minute celebration on the life of Dio that would include work from his legendary career from Rainbow, Black Sabbath and his solo material.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (12th) at 10:00 AM local time.

Simon Wright commented:

“Looking forward to hitting the road with this incredible piece of technology and celebrating Ronnie and his timeless music again with his friends and fans.”
