03) The Summer Slaughter Tour returns this July

The Summer Slaughter Tour, known for its extreme metal lineup, will make a comeback this July after a five-year hiatus. Following the 2019 run with a lineup including Cattle Decapitation, Carnifex, and The Faceless, the annual run was eventually shut down by 2020 due to COVID-19. Founded in 2007 by Ash Avildsen of Sumerian Records, the tour has been a platform for bands like Necrophagist, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Suicide Silence. Despite the pandemic-induced pause, the event organizers have confirmed the tour’s return, though the accompanying Slaughter Survivors tour will not be part of this year’s lineup.

The organizers officially confirmed the return via social media, stating:

“Summer Slaughter at its peak was such a force it even had a spin off tour to help keep developing the scene. Bad news – Slaughter Survivors won’t be back this year. Good news – Summer Slaughter 2024 is officially confirmed. Line up and dates coming soon”
