The current lineup of Stone Temple Pilots features Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington and will record a new EP to be released this fall. The current drama with former singer Scott Weiland doesn’t seem to have too big of an effect on the band, who are clearly moving forward quickly. The band have not said too much about the EP other than it will be released sometime this fall through their own new label via ADA (which is similar to what Macklemore and Ryan Lewis did).

Filter will be supporting Stone Temple Pilots during the first wave of dates to be announced. Among them are a date at New Jersey’s Starland Ballroom. It will be the first show at the venue in almost a year, as it had been shut down by Hurricane Sandy. The dates are as follows:
