Primus announced their brand new ninth studio album, The Desaturating Seven will be released on September 29th via ATO records. It will be a first to feature the group’s classic lineup with Les Claypool, Larry LaLonde, and Tim Alexander since 1995’s Tales From the Punchbowl. The forthcoming LP is an adaptation on Italian writer and illustrator Ul de Rico’s experimental 1978 children’s book, The Rainbow Goblins. Today (31), thanks to Rolling Stone, we get to hear the first single taken from the record,“The Seven.”

Primus are currently on tour with Clutch, however, they will return to the United States for another trek, kicking off on October 20th in San Antonio, Texas and concluding on November 13th in New Orleans, LA, followed by two Los Angeles performances in late December.
