While Nightwish continues work on their eighth studio album, the symphonic metal giants from Finalnd have just announced an early 2015 run of North America tour dates. The 27 date tour starts in April in New York City, runs into Canada for three dates, hits the west coast, and wraps up in mid-May in Maryland.
Said bassist Marco Hietala:
“Our work on the new album has been going with serious productive speed and comfortable ease at the same time. It´s going to be great to get it out to you and play these pieces live. And with this announcement it will obviously happen quite soon! Here are the dates for the North-American shows. Come on over and we’ll raise hell and kick some arses together!”
The still un-named album, due out in “spring 2015” on Nuclear Blast, will be the first with Dutch vocalist Floor Jansen, who joined the band officially in October of 2013. The band is also without drummer Jukka Nevalainen, who had to take a break from the band due to health issues. He’s been replaced by Kai Hahto of Wintersun.
