There are two things American fans of Faith No More have been waiting for since they reunited in 2009: new music and more U.S. dates. They’ve only played a handful of dates in the States back in the Summer of 2010, and a new album is nowhere in sight (despite teasing fans with a mysterious song). And unfortunately, it still doesn’t look like either will be happening anytime soon. That’s what makes their European tour announcement even more bittersweet.

Faith No More will be performing a handful of festivals and intimate shows this June and July. And unless more is to come, it doesn’t appear that any additional dates will pop up (aka no U.S. shows for now). Granted, Metal Sucks makes the point that not extensively touring the U.S. is a good move from a business standpoint. But still, anyone who missed out on seeing their short North American run two Summers ago (including this regrettable writer) is certainly sad about missing out yet again. Let’s just hope that the tour poster (seen above) isn’t an indicator that this trek might be the group’s last.

In case you just so happen to be back packing Europe at the end of this month, you can check out Faith No More’s European dates after the jump.
