Cradle of Filth went back to their roots with 2015’s Hammer Of The Witches. It is arguably their best album since 2004’s Nymphetamine and a few would say that it took them back to 2000’s Midian. Nearly two years later, the English extreme metal giants are ready to unveil its follow up with album number twelve. Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness of Decay arrives on September 22nd via Nuclear Blast. Frontman Dani Filth describes it:

“The album is deeply infused with Victorian gothic horror and thus the title is a reflection of that. ‘Cryptoriana’ implies the Victorian’s infatuation with the supernatural, the grave and the ghoulish. And the subtitle ‘The Seductiveness Of Decay’ further cements this attraction to death and the glittering lengthy process of self-annihilation.”

The fall seems like the perfect arrival for such a horror-induced album and we will get to hear a taste of it on July 5th when the first single is released following pre-orders. To celebrate their new release, the band will embark a UK and Ireland Tour on October 30th and conclude on November 11th. Tickets go on sale on Monday (19th) via here.
