In an interview with Metal Sucks, Adam “Nergal” Darski (who has been battling leukemia and received a bone marrow transplant last year) confirmed that Behemoth would make it’s live return at the end of the year. True to his word, Behemoth has announced the band’s first shows since Nergal’s diagnosis. The band will start off with a tour in Poland this coming October.
Nergal himself said the following about the band’s live return:
“I’m proud to announce that we’ve just nailed these Polish leg of the tour! Fans from abroad, please be patient, Asia, Australia, Europe and U.S. are under working. I’m beyond excited! I wanna see you all out there!”
This is great news not just because we’ll get to see Behemoth live soon, but because it means that Nergal is obviously recovering well. He had been showing signs that he was doing well, making his first public appearance at a Polish music school last February, but this tour news means that he’s starting to regain his health. Hopefully his health stays intact, and that we won’t have to wait too much longer for their return to the States.
For those who’ll just so happen be in Poland in October, here are the dates for their first dates back:
10/8 – Poznan – Eskulap
10/9 – Gdansk – Parlament
10/14 – Krakow – Studio
10/15 – Katowice – Mega Club
10/16 – Wroclaw – Eter
