It’s strange to think that less than a year ago Baroness was involved in a gnarly bus crash leaving fans wondering if they would ever have the chance to see them perform again. The future seemed even more bleak when two members left the band, but for John Baizley and Pete Adams, walking away from a band was never on their to do list.
Instead, they’ve opted to recruit a couple new members (bassist Nick Jost and drummer Sebastian Thomson), started their spring U.S. tour, announced fall U.S. Tour dates and will be releasing a Live EP featuring a small performance the band did on the Maida Vale BBC Radio 1 show, recorded in 2012. The release will come out digitally and as a limited edition 12″ with the b-side featuring artwork from Baizley himself.
The setlist and EP will feature all four tracks performed on the show: “Take My Bones Away,” “March to the Sea,” “Cocanium,” and “The Line Between.” Along with the announcement of the new release the band has announced the following European tour dates including the band’s first trip back to the UK since the bus crash last fall.
