Philadelphia obviously has a special place in John Baizley’s heart. The Baroness frontman’s first public performance since the horrific bus accident last year took place in the city of brotherly love last January, followed by an intimate set by Baizley and guitarist Peter Adams that same month. And this past Friday night (May 24), Baroness returned to Philadelphia’s Union Transfer. Not only did the show kick off their spring trek with Pallbearer and Tombs, but it also marked Baroness’ first show with bassist Nick Jost and drummer Sebastian Thomson. Fortunately for those that weren’t in Philly last week, photographer Maclyn Bean was on hand for the entire evening.
