Tim Aymar, vocalist for power metal band Pharaoh and progressive metal band Control Denied, has died at the age of 59.
The grim news was confirmed by Aymar’s Pharaoh bandmates in a social media post. Wrote the band, “Tim has meant so much to so many people, whose hearts are suddenly flooded with sadness but also memories of his life and music. We look forward to sharing some of our own memories when the right time has come. Until then, we are joined in sorrow and gratitude with all of Tim’s family, friends, fans, and fellow musicians.”
The estate of Death and Control Denied founder Chuck Schuldiner also made a statement. Taking to the official Death Facebook page, they wrote, “It is with deep sadness that from several sources it would appear that Tim Aymar has passed away. Our deepest and most sincere condolences to his friends and family.” Aymer appeared on Control Denied’s only album, The Fragile Art Of Existence, in 1999.
Aymar’s cause of death has not been revealed yet.
Pharaoh released their latest album, The Powers That Be, in June 2021.
