Dance Gavin Dance have announced the loss of their longtime bassist Tim Feerick who passed away yesterday (13th). The group shared the news on Facebook with the following statement:

“We are absolutely devastated to share the news that our friend and bass player, Tim Feerick, passed away last night. We ask that you respect our privacy and that of Tim‘s family while we deal with this heartbreaking and untimely loss. We will share further updates on Swanfest and our upcoming touring schedule as we have them.”

No cause of death has been revealed. Dance Gavin Dance were set to kick off their tour later this month, which they will soon provide scheduling updates. Feerick joined the group in 2009 and remained a member for most of the duration. Our thoughts go out to Feerick’s family and friends during this difficult time.
