Death metal act Morbid Angel has paid tribute to Frederick Forest Livingston, Jr., who died after the roof of the Apollo Theater in Belvidere, Illinois, collapsed during their concert on Friday, March 31st. The sold-out show had 260 people in attendance due to a tornado warning issued by the National Weather Service. More than 40 people were injured, two of whom suffered life-threatening injuries. Livingston’s sister confirmed that he was attending the concert with his son, who was unharmed. Morbid Angel expressed their condolences to Livingston’s family via social media, and a fundraising campaign was launched to support them. The theater, which opened in 1921, suffered severe damage, and Crypta’s touring RV was also destroyed. Another Gofundme was launched for a woman named Michelle, who also attended the show and sustained severe injuries.
