Myrkur’s sophomore album Mareridt will be released on September 15th via Relapse Records. Recorded between Copenhagen and Seattle and produced by Randall Dunn (Marissa Nadler, Earth, Sunn O))), and Boris (Wolves In The Throne Room.) The Danish multi-instrumentalist is taking the new album to the next level mixing metal with melodies, folk messages, and choral arrangements. We already heard a new experimentation with the Facebook video of her playing Scandinavian folk on her nyckelharpa and the first taste of the new album, the non-metalish tune “Två Kongunbarn”.
To celebrate this release, Myrkur is performing a few shows throughout the summer including her first New York City headlining experience on August 17th, just one day before she hits the road to Psycho Las Vegas.
