Bad Wolves have announced their debut album Disobey will be released before their tour with Five Finger Death Punch on May 18th via Eleven Seven Music. The full length record will include the group’s cover of The Cranberries’ classic track “Zombie.” The late Cranberries vocalist Dolores O’Riordan was scheduled to attend the recording session of this song, but unfortunately, she died unexpectedly. The band have since released the single and music video for this track as the proceeds are donated to O’Riordan’s children.

The song has recently made it to the #1 iTunes music chart. That’s not #1 on rock, or #1 on metal. That’s #1 overall, beating the likes of Drake and Imagine Dragons. The band expressed their overall excitement:

“Thank you to our team, friends, fans, and supporters for making this happen. Today, a Heavy Metal/Rock band topped the overall iTunes music chart surpassing artists like Kelly Clarkson and Drake as the number 1 most downloaded song in EVERY GENRE OF MUSIC. What an amazing testament to legacy left by Dolores O’Riordan and The Cranberries.
