Whether or not Record Store Day is the bane of the vinyl industry, or a savior to independent record stores, one thing’s for certain: if you’re a collector, there are two days a year where you’ll be able to pick up rare, limited edition or reissued wax that might have been out of print for years. We all know that metal fans like physical media and are collectors of their favorite bands’ vinyl, and as a result, both the April Record Store Day and the Black Friday one offer up plenty of vinyl to lure people into indie record stores. RSD has announced their offerings for next month’s, takign place on November 27th, and there’s plenty of metal to be found. Here’s what they’ve got for you.

No artwork for this. Not even a track listing. Earlier this year, they stated that they would be recording two more EPs of covers following Meanwhile in Burbank… It’s thought to include covers of songs by Slayer, Iron Maiden, Bad Brains, the Rolling Stones and Motley Crue, with Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale lending her voice to the Stones’ “Gimme Shelter.”

Judgment Night Soundtrack
While rap-rock had been around for a while (Run DMC and Anthrax come to mind), this 1993 movie soundtrack was definitely groundbreaking. Teaming up rap and hip hop artists with metal and rock artists yielded mixed results, but when it connects (like Helmet and House of Pain’s “Just Another Victim” and Faith No More and Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E.’s “Another Body Murdered), the results were pretty amazing.
Helmet & House of Pain – “Just Another Victim”
Teenage Fanclub & De La Soul – “Fallin'”
Living Colour & Run D.M.C – “Me, Myself & My Microphone”
Biohazard & Onyx – “Judgment Night”‘
Ice -T & Slayer – “Disorder”
Faith No More & Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. – “Another Body Murdered”
Cypress Hill & Sonic Youth – I Love You Mary Jane”
Sir Mix-a-lot & Mudhoney – “Freak Momma”
Del the Funky Homosapien & Dinosaur Jr – “Missing Link”
Fatal & Therapy? – “Come and Die”
Cypress Hill & Pearl Jam – “Real Thing”
