Photos: The Pretty Reckless know Who They’re Selling For with live show in Detroit

The Pretty Reckless, currently on tour in support of their brand new album Who You Selling For, made a stop in Detroit, Michigan this past week, and we were onsite to capture the experience. Downtown Detroit was bustling this evening, with a raging anti-Trump protest, seeing thousands march in protest through the streets over the newly announced president-elect. However, a few blocks over, on this cold, windy evening a lineup wrapped around Saint Andrews Hall. Close to a thousand fans waited patiently to enter this sold out show, headlined by lead singer Taylor Momsen and The Pretty Reckless. The crowd was still gaining entry while the opening acts played. Both Them Evils and Holy White Hounds entertained, bringing high energy sets, priming the crowd for the main act.

Shortly before ten, the lights dimmed, and the opening backing track of moans and trickling water for hit song “Follow Me Down” hit the speakers. One by one the band entered, with Taylor bringing up the rear. Dressed in a black trench coat, and sporting her signature bleach blonde hair, she spared no time, and laid right into an eleven song set that intermixed hit songs with new tracks. For anyone who hasn’t seen The Pretty Reckless in person, they put on a phenomenal live show, and keep the entire audience captivated from beginning to end with their hard hitting riffs, and melodic choruses. They are still on tour until the first week of December, and tickets are still available for most shows.
