VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show is returning this Saturday (21), and they’ve announced a pretty diverse lineup of guests for what’s going to be their 14th season. The 12-episode season will kick off this coming Saturday with Rush’s Geddy Lee and Dream Theater’s John Petrucci. Among the guests returning to the show are Anthrax’s Scott Ian, Frank Bello and Charlie Benante, John 5, Slayer’s Kerry King and former drummer Dave Lombardo (probably not appearing on the same episode!), Ace Frehley and Zakk Wylde.

If that relatively impressive lineup just makes you think “meh, I’ve seen them on TMS before,” you’d be right. However, they’ve lined up some first-time appearances, even though some of them are a little puzzling. Max Cavalera, Slayer/Exodus’ Gary Holt, Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless, Marky Ramone, Black Veil Brides’ Andy Biersack and RUN DMC’s Darryl McDaniels (?) are among those making their TMS debuts. So all those complaining that the show wasn’t keeping up with the times, at least they have some relatively current artists appearing on the show this time.

The 14th season of That Metal Show will kick off at it’s new time, 9:00pm ET/PT, on Saturday, February 21st, on VH1 Classic.
