Last year’s inaugural Rock Allegiance festival in Chester, Pennsylvania, a town in between Philadelphia and Delaware, was a one-day affair that went well enough that when Danny Wimmer Presents announced a second year, it expanded to two days. Encompassing mainstream (Alice In Chains, The Offspring) and the underground (Max and Iggor Cavalera, Baroness), it was a wildly successful fest proving the the destination festival model is flourishing. Metal Insider contributing photographer Melinda Oswandel was on hand to document some of the many bands that played.
