Philly getting own hard rock festival as Rock Allegiance announced

Posted by on June 1, 2015

For the past few years, there have been a handful of rock festivals held regionally, that while not a full-fledged tour, have seen many bands play the circuit. Rock on the Range, Rocklahoma, Rockfest, Carolina Rebellion, and more have  been where active rock, and some metal bands, have played without doing full-fledged tours. There haven’t been too many of them in big cities, but that’s about to change. The Monster Energy Rock Allegiance tour has been announced. Taking place on Saturday, October 10th in Philly suburb, Chester, PA, the festibval will be headlined by Rob Zombie, Korn, Godsmack and Five Finger Death Punch.

Papa Roach, Bring me the Horizon, In This Moment, Atreyu and more are also playing, and Steel Panther will have an after party. The festival also promises craft beer and “gourmet man food,” which in addition to being sexist, might be the dumbest combination of three words we’ve seen in a while. That being said, Jim’s Steaks is going to be there, and they blow Pat’s and Geno’s out of the water as far as we’re concerned. Presale tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am for only $34.50, $39.50 and $49.50. They’ll get more expensive when they go on sale Thursday, and you’ll be able to pick them up here.
