The Holos Collective, the project of the legendary Tor-Helge “Cernunnus” Skei of Manes, has inked a deal with the esteemed label These Hands Melt. Skei is celebrated for his pioneering brilliance within the realm of black metal and far beyond, having created a number of genre-defying masterpieces. The Holos Collective represents Skei’s tireless will to continue to forge new types of throughly immersive sonic experiences.

Approximately 20 collaborators, including both famous and underground talents, are now involved in The Holos Collective. Rage of Light’s charismatic Martyna Halas, Martyra’s divinely gifted Marita Hellem, and other revered members of Manes are among those who have been named publicly by Skei.

Founded in Rome in 2023, These Hands Melt already boast a formidable international catalogue and have also distinguished themselves with their dark and elevated sense of aesthetics. The alliance between These Hands Melt and The Holos Collective seems perfectly fated.

The label has confirmed:

“Incredibly thrilled to announce that Norwegian icon Tor-Helge Skei has signed his new project THE HOLOS COLLECTIVE with THM!

The man behind Manes and many other legendary acts created The Holos Collective as a new boundary-pushing project of introspective electronics & dark-rock involving contributors both from the metal world and way beyond.

A first album is in the making to be released in due time, but a few FABULOUS sketches can be heard on Tor-Helge’s Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@torhelgeskei.

Indeed, the maximally entrancing compositions in progress posted by Skei are sublime just as they are and in isolation. By way of their excellence, they reveal that The Holos Collective’s upcoming debut should be on everyone’s radar. In fact, I can take matters a step further and personally attest that the debut, even as it currently stands, is one of the very best audial triumphs to ever reach my ears.
