Trondheim’s emerging hard rockers Invaded have unleashed the killer single “Here Comes Trouble,” which is available for streaming and purchase via a number of platforms here. This wicked track serves up a nostalgic yet refreshing dose of excellence. Beautiful yet fierce, this remarkably catchy earworm boasts enviable musicianship and much more. Invaded conquer in all respects: “There’s no place for weakness.” The charismatic “Here Comes Trouble” keeps us firmly under its intoxicating spell throughout. Invaded even scores a win with the production, which perfectly suits the composition.

Invaded features a mix of incredible talents: vocalist Marita Hellem, guitarist Albert “Gold Top” Johansen, guitarist Alex “Locktight” Gregersen, bassist Sander Olsen, drummer and mix engineer Thomas “Mr Equalizer” Schjerve Mjønes, and manager and co-producer Mikael “Dynamo” Næss.

We must emphasize that Hellem seems to be one of the most promising ladies in rock/metal. (Read our interview with her here.) Hellem has achieved sonic wonders with her solo project Martyra and has become an integral part of the legendary Manes. Furthermore, she has contributed to Brage Kråbøl’s Enevelde and The Holos Collective, the brilliant brainchild of Manes’ Tor-Helge Skei.

Simply stated, Hellem possesses one of the most divine voices in the industry and has a true gift for laying down the ideal vocal lines to suit the music and maximize its emotion, perhaps due to her expertise as a multi-instrumentalist as well. Hellem’s artistic supremacy has already earned the attention of Loudwire, for example.

Yet again, on “Here Comes Trouble,” Hellem proves her remarkable versatility — a chameleonic ability to adapt to any style with grace and authenticity. As she sings, she truly is a “force of nature.” Vocal effects like layering are expertly handled, and just the right amount of chanting kicks in at the end.

Of course, and as already implied, not just Hellem, but Invaded as a whole likewise wield terrifying potential. Invaded has already rocked crowds live. They seem to have everything, including visual components, perfectly figured out, and we have no doubt that they have tons more trouble in store for us. Needless to say, we can’t wait to hear their full-length debut, so be on the lookout.

Let it be remembered: Trondheim has become internationally celebrated for their musical artists, whether TNT, the aforementioned Manes, Snorre Ruch’s Thorns, Keep of Kalessin, or the distinguished group of gentlemen who defined the initially underground but now trendy movement dubbed Nidrosian Black Metal.
