Allegations of domestic violence against Sadus drummer Jon Allen have sparked widespread attention since Lambgoat and Metal Insider reported on the matter last night (3rd). Loudwire has further confirmed that Nuclear Blast has severed ties with Sadus, and the band has announced they are parting ways with Allen amid the controversy.
Sadus vocalist/guitarist Darren Travis issued a statement addressing the situation:
“Upon recent allegations of misconduct.. Sadus will be parting ways with Jon Allen.. I do not condone any type of malicious behavior towards any person.”
The allegations involve a disturbing video reportedly showing Allen allegedly attacking his partner, Brandy Mae Collins, while she was connected to a dialysis machine with her young son present. Collins has since shared frequent social media updates, and expressing concern about Allen’s return to the States since the band are likely no longer on tour with Obutuary.
UK/European tour with Obituary is set to conclude on December 13th in Germany, which now looks like an evening with Obituary. The band recently updated their social media with a blacked-out cover image, signaling the dire situation.
The GoFundMe campaign Collins launched just yesterday now surpasses $2,000 of donations at the time of publishing this story.
