Following the sad news of the passing of former Baroness drummer Allen Blickle, vocalist/guitarist John Baizley came forward earlier today (8th) to address the significant loss. Baizley issued the statement on the band’s social media, expressing:
“It breaks my heart to have to share the news that my dear friend, creative partner and former bandmate Allen Blickle passed away a few days ago. I’m still in shock that he’s gone. We ask for understanding as his family and this band process his passing and grieve his loss. Allen, I love you and miss you. I treasure every moment we shared.”
Blickle was the original drummer of Baroness from their formation through 2013, departing shortly after the devastating 2012 European bus crash that left multiple members seriously injured.
