Former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee is recovering after being shot multiple times while walking his dog early on Tuesday morning (15th) in Las Vegas. The 67-year-old musician was hit in the forearm, back, and foot, with the bullet in his back breaking a rib, but none of the injuries were life-threatening. Lee was quickly transported to a local hospital, where he remains in the intensive care unit, fully conscious and expected to make a full recovery. His dog was unharmed during the incident.

The shooting took place around 2:40 a.m. in Lee’s driveway, located about ten miles from the Las Vegas Strip. According to the Las Vegas Police Department, no arrests have been made yet, and the investigation is ongoing.

“Officers responded to a shooting incident in the 11000 block of Alora Street. Officers arrived and located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male was transported to the hospital. No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.”

Authorities believe the shooting was completely random. Las Vegas Review – Journal reports a neighbor, upon hearing the gunfire, hid their children, grabbed a gun, and called 911.

Lee’s management issued a statement confirming his condition and thanking fans for their support while requesting privacy for Lee and his family during this time.
