This year’s Hellfest had an interesting mix of headlining acts for fellow metalheads. The three-day festival took place this past weekend and it included Deep Purple, Aerosmith and Linkin Park as the three headliners. While other metal acts consisted of Rob Zombie, Slayer, In Flames, Sabaton, and Kreator, fans managed to stick around to see a changed Linkin Park conclude the event.
The group managed to perform a few classic hits such as “One Step Closer,” “In The End,” and “Numb.” However, material from their new metal-less and ESP guitar lacking album One More Light, didn’t resonate to all in attendance. It was during their performance of the not so heavy “Heavy,” when fans flipped the band off.
Frontman Chester Bennington responded to these outbursts on his Twitter and luckily for their French fans, he didn’t threaten to punch anyone.
A video from their performance surfaced on YouTube and around ten seconds in the clip, you will see a fan throwing a beer cup at the frontman:
Does anyone else find it funny that the same people calling us sellouts are suggesting that we change our set to conform to HELLFEST

All kidding aside…. the crowd was great and handled our set pretty well. Our French fans are awesome.

I welcomed the huge crowd of condemned souls to HELLFEST in my metal voice then we played Invisible. The look of shock on people’s faces

After I blew kisses to the guys flipping me off. They smiled and gave me heart hands back.

Hell fest was fun. Had a blast watching people mosh to In the End and then flip me off when we played Heavy. I blew them kisses
