The Foo Fighters recently let go of drummer Josh Freese without explanation. While the group has yet to make a public statement on his dismissal, Freese made a follow-up post, adding humor by posting a Top 10 possible reasons he was fired. Known for his work with The Vandals, Guns N’ Roses, A Perfect Circle, and Devo, Freese had joined Foo Fighters in 2022 following the passing of Taylor Hawkins.
Freese shared the below list:
10) Once whistled “My Hero” for a week solid on tour.
09) Could only name one FUGAZI song.
08) Two words: polyrhythms.
07) Metronome-like precision behind the kit deemed “soulless.”
06) Demanded starting every rehearsal with a 20-minute cowbell sound bath.
05) Never even once tried growing a beard.
04) Didn’t show up to studio because Mercury was in retrograde.
03) Promised Noodles [The Offspring] he could be 4th guitarist.
02) Refused to perform unless he was guaranteed a Ouija board and nunchucks after every show.
01) The whole poodle thing was getting to be a bit much
