In celebration of their album White Pony turning 20, Deftones has announced that they will be working with Belching Beaver on a new limited run beer. White Pony Double Dry Hopped IPA drops this Friday, August 28 in Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nebraska, Nevada, Minnesota , Oregon, Washington and Wisconsin.

The band made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday, which said, “Our White Pony 20th anniversary celebration continues with another Deftones x @BelchingBeaver collaboration. This #WhitePony Double Dry Hopped IPA will be released on Friday, August 28, for a limited time..”

Belching Beaver says the IPA is 7% ABV and features “an upfront flavor of pineapple but finishes with a soft grapefruit note with a mild bitterness and medium mouthfeel.”

This isn’t the first time Deftones have collaborated with Belching Beaver on a beer. In fact, the band has created four beers with the company, including a year-round India Pale Ale named “Phantom Bride” after a song on their album Gore.

White Pony was released in June 2000 to praise from both fans and critics. The band’s third studio release, it peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 upon release and has gone on to earn platinum certification in the US.

In addition to the beer, Deftones will also be celebrating White Pony’s 20th anniversary with an album of remixes called Black Stallion. A release date for that album has not been revealed yet, though it is expected to come out some time in 2020.

Last week, Deftones announced that they would be releasing their ninth studio album, Ohms, on September 25. “Ohms,” the title track and debut single, was released on August 21. The album can be pre-ordered here.
