Before Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, frontman Maynard James Keenan was apparently first in the band TexA.N.S., which stands for Tex and the Anti Nazi Squad. Maynard was originally the bass player but later moved to vocals. Mike Meengs, who was the keyboardist, posted two tracks from the band, one titled “Tweeked & In God We Trust,” which is a live recording from February 1986 and features Keenan on bass only. However, the second track, “Who Leads You” includes Keenan behind the microphone. In Meengs post, he dropped a fun fact about “Who Leads You” being the first song Keenan wrote lyrics for.
