Lawrence, KS post-metal trio Drifter have teamed up with Metal Insider to premiere their new single, “The Flood.” The track is taken from their upcoming album, Grigori, out this Friday (23). Known for their dark experimental blend, the new song highlights their atmospheric range. Grigori was produced with Eric Graves, who also handled engineering, mixing, and mastering at the Gravy Cave.
Vocalist/bassist Dean Edington comments:
“‘The Flood’ is the song that brings together all of the sonic elements that Drifter explores on our new LP, ‘Grigori’; wide dynamics, explosive transitions, quiet spaces, dense soundscapes and big riffs. This song is my absolute favorite to perform live. The catharsis in the room when we get on the other side of The Flood is palpable.”
