The Bloodline are fired up about new song

Remember Dirge Within, the band featuring former Broken Hope and Soil guitarist Shaun Glass? Well, that’s a thing of the past. In 2012, former Divine Heresy singer Travis Neal joined the band, and in 2013, the band changed their name to The Bloodline. The band’s debut album under that moniker, We Are One, will be released in March on Another Century. Earlier today, the band released their first single from the band, “With Fire (Comes Absolution), via Revolver.” Here’s what Glass had to say about the current incarnation of the band:

“I met Travis [Neal] while he was singing for Divine Heresy,” recalls guitarist Shaun Glass. “Dirge Within parted ways with its singer, and I reached out. We did a week of shows in the Midwest. However, as soon as we started writing new material together, it hit us. This is a new entity. I’d never experienced chemistry that powerful.”

The end result is commercial and catch hard rock. There are still some heavy vocals, but the song is hooky as well. If you’re a fan of any of the past bands of the members, or catchy, heavy music ala Slipknot, then listen to this song, and pay attention to what’s going on with the band via Facebook.
