While June 6th is known as the “International Day of Slayer,” it might come a little earlier this year. That’s because April 18th is when you’ll get to hear “When the Stillness Comes,” a brand new Slayer song that will be released as part of Record Store Day. The 7″ vinyl picture disc will have a b-side of “Black Magic,” recorded live at the Wacken Open Air Festival last year. This will be the second Slayer song from their upcoming album to be unleashed on the public, as “Implode” was premiered last year at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards. The single will be limited to 5,000 copies worldwide.
While April 18th will be the first time fans get to hear “When the Stillness Comes” in its entirety, those that have been following the band online got a chance to hear snippets of it last year as part of ScionAV’s “Scion X Slayer Driven” series.
